UPDATES FROM THE SOTS TEAM
Written By SOTS

Terrace, let’s come together again for another winter of snowpack learning and backcountry community!

Hosted by John Forrest, Event Coordinator, CAA PRO and ACMG Ski Guide, and his team of dedicated volunteers, the events will take place at Sherwood Mountain Brewhouse for another winter.

Whether you’re looking to learn about the snowpack or the avalanche conditions or even about terrain or decision-making, these community events are a chance to hear from local Terrace avalanche professionals, and meet your local backcountry community. The local team is excited to welcome the community back for four FREE avalanche awareness events this winter season!

Join your community at the Sherwood Mountain Brewhouse for four evenings:

> Starting at  6 to 8 PM PST

  • Thursday December 17th, 2026

  • Thursday January 14th, 2027

  • Thursday February 18th, 2027
