  • MC / Team GIVE'R Freeride Club

Hey, my name is Ryan Lachapelle. Been living in our little piece of paradise for 10 years now. I used to run the events at RED Mountain for about 8 years and now operate my non-profit, Team GIVE'R Foundation, full time. As some of you probably know, I started up a youth competitive freeski team called the Team GIVE'R Freeride Club and we are rolling into our 3rd year! We have 51 kids & 13 coaches on the team and we are super stoked to guide the next generation of shredders in our community! I'm grateful to be a part of these events and get the community together for some really valuable shared information on our snowpack and how the winter is shaping up. Thanks for having me!

With years of experience balancing fieldwork and academic study, Taylor brings both technical expertise and practical knowledge to his work in the mountains. Outside of forecasting, he can be found skiing, climbing, or biking, and is also a professional photographer who captures the raw environments, people and mountain culture that shape life in the Kootenays.
