We've got two incredible presenters who bring decades of experience, local knowledge, and deep community involvement.

SNOWPACK PRESENTER Nicole Koshure

Nicole has worked across multiple avalanche sectors — mining, forestry, industry, and ski operations — and is also an active member of Whistler Search & Rescue. She’s passionate about public education, terrain access, decision-making, and helping her community stay safer and more informed in the backcountry.

GUEST PRESENTER Steve Leclair

Steve has served with the RCMP for 40 years, with the last 18 in Whistler working closely with WB Ski Patrol and WSAR. He’s an avalanche educator with Extremely Canadian, teaches agencies across Canada, and serves on several CAA committees while volunteering with Whistler Search & Rescue. Tonight, he’ll share insights from a lifetime of public safety, mountain experience, and avalanche education.

Supporting Whistler Search & Rescue

All funds raised tonight will be donated to Whistler SAR. Special thanks to: Salomon, Nesters Marketplace, Granite, Thermic, Profile Ski Tuning, Patagonia, and Whistler Blackcomb for donating prizes and supporting this event.

This event is FREE and open to everyone — skiers, sledders, splitboarders, climbers, and anyone curious about snowpack, rescue, guiding, or safe backcountry travel. Come learn something new, support WSAR, and connect with Whistler’s backcountry community. See you there.
