SOTS EXPANDS INTO THE ROCKIES: WELCOME GOLDEN, BC!

State of the Snowpack is climbing higher — and we’re excited to announce that Golden, BC is joining as a new chapter for the 2025/26 season!

Starting this winter, the Golden community will come together monthly at Whitetooth Brewery for live State of the Snowpack events. These evenings will feature presentations from local avalanche professionals and backcountry leaders, sharing their expertise on snowpack conditions, avalanche safety, and decision-making in the mountains.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm, giving you time to connect with fellow backcountry users before the presentations begin. Admission is free, and each event will include a fundraising raffle in support of SOTS, helping this grassroots public-safety initiative grow stronger across BC.
